This is a highly specialised program, tailor-made for students aiming to become qualified Skincare Therapists in the Aesthetic field.. (Refer to pre-requisites below for those wanting to attend this training)
This Course Offers you the opportunity to Qualify Internationally with ITEC at South Africa’s only fully accredited provider with ITEC in this Specialised Industry.

This complete course is a package of all the essential & groundbreaking subjects required to excel and feel like professional Skin Specialist in the Aesthetic Field.

For Applicants with no prior training and qualifications in the Industry, our Pathway Programme will prepare you for the Aesthetics Industry and requirements that lie ahead:
3^rd years students who have completed their 2 year Diploma in Skincare & Body Therapy / Similar can progress directly into the Module A,B &C of this Programme; as they will have already completed pre-requisite subjects in their Diploma Course whilst new Students must complete pre-requisite subjects : 

On completion you may enter the Madge Wallace Exams along with ITEC International aligned Certificate & Diploma Qualifications – Level 4 & 5 

The Core modules will provide a perfect platform to start a career in this field.

1. Facial Therapy : Practical: Cleanse, tone, skin analysis, deep cleanse, eyebrow tinting & shaping, massage, mask and moisturize as well as providing Client Care & post treatment advice. Theory: Facial therapy theory, related Anatomy & Physiology, Hygiene & Sterilisation
2. Dermatology : A comprehensive subject that looks at the various skin conditions and treatments.
   It is a purely theory subject that works nicely in conjunction with other skincare modalities to provide a deep understanding of the skin, its conditions and preparation for treatments within practice. Incorporates applied Anatomy related to the Skin (Integumentary System)
3. Chemistry : Chemistry, including Cosmetic, Organic & Inorganic is taught as a core subject when understanding the role that Therapist plays when working with Professional Products. This knowledge is applied when working with various ingredients, machinery and Professional Brands when recommending and working with a client’s face and body.
4. Physics : Electrophysics is the study of the properties of matter and energy and includes heat, light, sound and electricity. The study of the Electrical Currents used in Beauty Therapy in relation to the advancements in Aesthetic machinery where Physics plays a key role in understanding new technology.
5. Lymph & Endocrine Physiology: studying the intricate workings of the body’s endocrine system and Lymphatic System which are a vital element in providing a well thorough treatment to clients with fundamental understanding of the body. 
6. Hygiene & Client Management: Understand the importance of client consultation, client interaction and general customer care. Highlighting indepth hygiene protocols and disease management related to treatments.

Module A :    Theory related to the Aesthetic Industry

The ever-important THEORY related to Advanced Skincare & Body Treatments using Aesthetic Methods available in the market:

• Epilation (hair removal technology & techniques)
• Theory of Advanced Skincare covering the use of Dermal Fillers incl. Botox – where & how therapists can and cannot practice.
• Skin Sensitivity & Acne
• Microdermabrasion, Laser & IPL
• Theory of ageing related treatments including Skincare Peels, Microneedling

Module B :    Professional Advanced Aesthetic Skincare Treatments

• Facial Treatments with the use of Professional Advanced Skincare Products to treat Ageing, Acne, Sensitivity & other skin conditions with the use of:
• Practical training in Chemical Peels using various grades to treat varying conditions
• Practical training in dermaplaning and Microneedling to treat scarring, collagen production in ageing etc.
• Practical training in Electrolysis – an original system in hair removal – effective in creating an understanding of currents and working with pin-point precision before moving onto the advanced laser techniques.

Module C :    Professional Aesthetic Laser & IPL Training with machine training

Skin Rejuvenation, body contouring, slimming, hair removal & anti- ageing with training in the following:

• Cavitation & Slimming } Cellulite Reduction & Slimming / body contouring
• IPL } Hair Removal; Skin Rejuvenation; Treatment of Pigmentation, spider veins, acne & scarring
• Radio Frequency } to treat ageing, skin tightening & vaginal tightening
• Laser } Non-Surgical Face Lift, Skin Tightening
• Tattoo Removal, Carbon Laser Facials, treatment of Pigmentation & Spider veins
• Any New & additional Technology / machinery as it becomes available.

Case Studies :            Case Studies & Assignments in each Practical Module will be required
