RPL is used as a form of acknowledging and assessing students who have had previous training. This is a process to promote life-long learning.

On successful completion of the 1st year, the student has the option to enroll for the ITEC International Exams to complete the Beauty Specialist Diploma.
Case Studies & Exams

ASSIGNMENTS & RESEARCH

Students are required to complete a certain number of case studies in each of the treatments covered in their course, in addition to a number of assignments and research projects.

EXAMINATIONS & ASSESSMENTS

Continuous assessments are conducted throughout the training and the final assessment is conducted on completion of a programme to establish the competency of each student. Practical and Theory assessments are conducted in accordance with National and International requirements.

Revision of all first year subjects in preparation for the final International examinations On successful completion of the 2nd year programme, the student is awarded the Madge Wallace Skincare Therapy & Body Therapy National Diploma and will have the option to do the CIDESCO and ITEC International exams.
Case Studies, Thesis & Exams

Students are required to complete a certain number of case studies in each of the treatments covered in their course, in addition to a number of assignments and research projects.

Continuous assessments are conducted throughout the training and the final assessment is conducted on completion of a programme to establish the competency of each student. Practical and Theory assessments are conducted in accordance with National and International requirements.

Third Year Subjects

SPECIALISED SPA THERAPY & MASSAGE TECHNIQUES

The Madge Wallace Teachers course offers a unique opportunity to learn valuable Lecturing Techniques within the Beauty Therapy profession. Each year we make the opportunity for a student with the right qualifications to enroll with us to be tutored in the training of future therapists.

The course involves:

ADVANCED BEAUTY IN AESTHETICS

Practical & Theoretical Training in:

Advanced Aesthetic Treatments are demonstrated and performed under the supervision of Professional Skincare Professionals:
Training is offered on-site and supported by our Partners in Advanced Aesthetics whereby some practical demonstrations may take place off site. Case Study (POE) work is required for some elements of this modality.

Module A : Theory related to the Aesthetic Industry & Electrolysis

The fundamental knowledge of the Theory related to Advanced Skincare & Body Treatments using Aesthetic Methods/ Treatments available in the market:

  • Epilation
  • Botox & Dermal Fillers } where therapists can and cannot practice.
  • Skin Sensitivity & Acne
  • Microdermabrasion, Laser & IPL
  • Skincare Peels, Dermarollers / Microneedling
  • Understanding Electrolysis Technology – an original system in hair removal & blemish removal – still highly effective in treatments today. Also important when understanding the use of currents and working with pin-point needle precision before moving onto the advanced laser techniques.

Module B :    Professional Advanced Aesthetic Treatments

  • Facial Treatments with the use of Professional Advanced Skincare Products to treat Ageing, Acne, Sensitivity & other skin conditions with the use of:
  • Practical training in Chemical Peels using various grades to treat varying conditions
  • Practical training in Microneedling to treat scarring, collagen production in ageing etc.
  • Practical training in Electrolysis – an original system in hair removal – effective in creating an understanding of currents and working with pin-point precision before moving onto the advanced laser techniques.

    Module C :    Professional Aesthetic Laser & IPL Training

    Skin Rejuvenation, body contouring, slimming, hair removal & anti- ageing with training in the following:

    • Cavitation & Slimming } Cellulite Reduction & Slimming / body contouring
    • IPL } Hair Removal; Skin Rejuvenation; Treatment of Pigmentation, spider veins, acne & scarring
    • Radio Frequency } to treat ageing, skin tightening & vaginal tightening
    • Laser } Non-Surgical Face Lift, Skin Tightening
    • Tattoo Removal, Carbon Laser Facials, treatment of Pigmentation & Spider veins

    TEACHERS TRAINING

    ♦  Administrative Skills incl. Class preparation, Assessing, Moderation, Syllabus Implementation

    ♦  Alignment with ITEC Education & Training Qualifications as well asthe New CIdesco Qualification for
    Trainers

    Also introducing the CIDESCO Teachers Training Qualifications which would be done on a part time basis with less hands on approach but still would require practical and theory portfolio work and evaluation.
